Text: Proverbs 11:24-25...”There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.”

These two verses present a paradox: that we become richer by being generous. The world says to hold on to as much as possible...get all you can, and can all you get. God blesses those who give freely of their possessions, time, and energy. By cheerfully using what we have our spirits are delighted, and thus prepares us for the business we have to do. Our giving attitude actually gains a reputation towards our character, which contributes to:

(1) God’s willingness to trust us with more and...

(2) Others willingness to follow our example thus causing a chain reaction in increase.

When we give, God supplies us with more so that we can give more. In addition, giving helps us gain a right perspective on our possessions. We realize they were never really ours to begin with, but they were given to us by God to be used to help others. What then do we gain by giving? Freedom from enslavement to our possessions, the joy of helping others, and God’s approval. Therefore you cannot budget your way out of debt or beg your way into a blessing.

The only way out is to “GIVE YOUR WAY OUT”

......................................... AMEN!!!
